Team Lead - Electrical Development

The Team Leader (TL) is the first-line management layer position. The TL supervises and manages a team, providing direction and guidance to engage the team. Ensures coordination and execution of operational and tactical activities by the own team(s) in accordance with the team’s plan and policies in order to achieve team goals.

The TL has people management responsibility and also supports line managers in building the strategy for the team.

In our group the TL works together with the Product Owner (PO) managing the team and scope.

The electronic/electrical activities cover the complete scope of electronics development, from architecture definition up to and including design, realization, qualification, and integration, for both existing and new ASML products. Typical team sizes are between 5 and 15 FTE.

The Team Leader is responsible for the following:

• Being the supervisor of a team being responsible for the output of the team
• Execution responsibilities concern triple constraint management (scope-time-cost) of the deliverables of the team
• Having full responsibilities for the team direct reports (incl. Develop & Perform, Goal Setting, Talent Management) , in close collaboration with Group Leader (GL)
• Creates an environment in which employees feel engaged and can grow to their full potential including role onboarding, competency development and target-appraisal
• Works in close cooperation with his/her/its stakeholders to achieve the business goals end-to-end
• Enables a high performing team by providing transparency on team maturity, predictability & progress
• Works with the team to ensure  that the team relentlessly improves on ASML processes and way of working (based on ASML Development Model, ADM)
• Ensures well-being of the team members
• Ensures the right competences are in the team, makes sure they are developed for the future and succession planning is in place.
• Ensures quality of deliverables committed by the team together with the GL
• Facilitates the team rituals and contributes to Train rituals
• Is self-aware and looking for self development in the role amongst others by contributing where possible to the Community of Practice (CoP) for TL’s

Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• Broad knowledge of electronics in all its aspects: architecture, design, and integration
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in electronic / electrical design
• Good knowledge of the EL WoW and processes is preferred
• Prior experience with line management activities is a plus
• Prior experience as scrum master or PO within SAFe/ADM is a plus

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).
