Corporate Real Estate – Technical Services Manager – Inventory & Storage Management

The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) organization is a centralized department that is responsible for CRE activities worldwide, serving >40,000 employees.
 

Your role

As the Technical Services Manager– ISM (Inventory & Storage Management) you are responsible for the management of materials inventory and materials storage for CRE. It includes responsibility for the relevant work processes as well as necessary IT applications.

These materials include spare parts, furniture and consumables that are necessary for operation and maintenance, and facility management of CRE’s buildings and infrastructure. A new dimension to the task is ASML’s target to re-use as many materials, objects and components as possible, hence to reduce waste. It also includes tooling and equipment that is to be used by a various CRE contractors, service providers and suppliers.

Regarding storage spaces you work with the space planning team to constantly define and validate your storage demand. For greenfield and brownfield projects you define the space requirements for storage of CRE materials, consumables, tooling and equipment, and you work with the project team to ensure realization as required.
 

The role of Technical Services Manager– ISM is a new role that is created to provide oversight and control, hence to ensure business continuity as we always have the required materials at hand, and to be cost effective and sustainable as we make use of the stored (re-use) materials, consumables, tooling and equipment.
 

Peers in your team are the Technical Facility Managers, Operations Improvement Manager, Facility Shutdown Manager and Maintenance Project Portfolio Manager.

You will report to the Manager Operations/Tactical Asset Management.
 

Your tasks
  • Work with our internal Asset Management & facility Management Specialists to define critical spare parts and related strategies, and work with our Contract Managers and contractors/suppliers to ensure availability.
  • Define the execution strategy related to inventory and storage management, including decisions on services to be insourced and/or outsourced and how this serves the interests of ASML in the best possible way. Engage with both internal (e.g. Global Logistics, Tool center, etc) and potential external service providers to evaluate all possibilities.
  • Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to continuously have insight in inventory and stock levels.
  • Collaborate with projects and maintenance teams to facilitate storage and use of excess and re-use materials.
  • Act as demand managers towards our space planning team, continuously defining and validating storage space demand and utilization. For greenfield and brownfield projects you define the storage space requirements and ensure realization as required.
  • Manage operational work processes related to the receiving and shipping of inventory and equipment, including registration in relevant IT applications.
  • In collaboration with business partner and Asset Management internal stakeholders, translate service demand into annual plans, including activities forecasts, kpi's, changes, improvements, etc. for Inventory & Storage Management
  • Implement and monitor the standard processes for material and equipment inventory and storage
  • Providing accurate, actual and complete information and communication regarding inventory and stock levels, as well as storage space utilization
  • Monitor compliance of operations with agreed work processes and supplier contracts and drive for corrective actions when needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance and drive implementation of these improvements and optimizations
  • Contract & Supplier evaluation regarding inventory & storage management
  • Coordinating escalation and de-escalation process

Your profile

  • Completed bachelor or master degree in logistics, engineering, asset management or otherwise relevant
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar complex (industrial) environment
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Solution-oriented & pragmatic
  • Trouble shooter, Stress-resistant
  • Excellent decision making skills in fast-changing and complex environments,  and capable of dealing with uncertainties
  • Delegating and giving orders (towards suppliers)
  • Strongly results-orientated with a corresponding sense of responsibility; directs work and ensures accountability
  • Social skills; emphatic, listening, enthusing & collaborating
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, dealing with medior management levels, peers, teams, service providers, contractors and consultants

  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Dutch
