Value & Cost manager electrical development

Introduction to the job

The electrical development cluster delivers all necessary electrical engineering for ASML's machines.  With all of these electronics we help guarantee the performance of our machines. Next to the performance we also need to make sure the cost levels remain competitive.

Driving down cost is a relatively new priority for the cluster. We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic Value program manager who is ready to make an impact!

Roles and responsibilities

As a Value program manager you are able to setup a way of working for driving down cost of the electronics parts. You will start within the electrical DUV department, where you will book your first cost down successes,eg via the design for excellence (DFX) methodology.  

It will be come your responsibility to:

• Initiate, organize and drive DfX / value engineering projects and drive the generated ideas to conclusion.
• Create a framework and way of working to drive down cost in the electronics cluster.
• Connect to relevant stakeholders like the program, manufacturing and quality to help removing roadblocks and be well aligned on activities.

Education and experience

In order for you to feel empowered within the role of Value Program manager, we think it would be most beneficial if you have:

• A Master or Bachelor+ in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or similar. 
• Minimum 10 years’ working experience in product development or related Departments .
• Experience in the DfX methodoly and/or value engineering
• Min. 5 years of experience inn project management
• Min. 2 years of experience in driving cost down activities with proven results

Other information

The electrical development cluster is responsible for the specification, creation, qualification and integration of all electronic functions and modules within the ASML Machines.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
