Accountant - hybrid

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of accounting experience and a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As an Accountant at CPM Europe you will play a pivotal role in overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations. Your tasks will be:

• General Ledger Management: Oversee and manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
• Audit Support: Support audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of monthly VAT and ICP returns.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role 
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office, particularly Excel.

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous and accurate in recording and reporting financial data.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Dutch and English are required
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and issues.
• Confidentiality: Maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
• Language: Dutch and English, German is a plus
• Based within a 30km radius from Zaandam, The Netherlands. And with living and working rights in the Netherlands
