Global Manufacturing Product Safety Expertise Manager

Context

Works in EHS team of D&E, S&SC, Manufacturing, CS, CRE or Corporate EHS. Interfaces with EHS manager and with managers/ directors of own sector.
Acts as EHS Business Partner for a number of Departments or a large, diverse department/subsector with high diversity of activities.
Formulates and after approval implements and monitors operational plan for own area and provides input to EHS departmental strategy.
Translates EHS policies to business situations for own department.
Needs to interpret and apply policies to come to optimal solution for the business needs. Establishes EHS standards and practices for own area. Brings specific expertise on product safety for Global Manufacturing. Contributes to wider policy formulation in assigned business area based on EHS perspective and expertise.
As addition, an EHS Expertise Manager 1 working at Corporate EHS interfaces with managers/ directors of other sectors (both within and outside the EHS workfield).

Requirements

Requires professional/conceptual knowledge (relevant Master's degree) with substantial, progressive working experience in several EHS work areas in technical industry, consultancy or national government. Has solid experience across different EHS work areas with specific expertise on product safety.
Ability to work in a dynamic business environment on a tactical level.
Customer focus (internal or external).
Proven track record on stakeholder management (director level)
Requires strong knowledge of ASML policies, procedures, goals and strategies.
Collaborates in a positive and efficient manner.
Communicates effectively to stakeholders; stays friendly at all times; provides constructive feedback and listens carefully to any feedback given.
Safe guards product safety for Global Manufacturing.
Manages complexity within and beyond EHS workfield.
Optimizes work processes on EHS at own sector or on corporate level.
Balances stakeholders to ensure the best decisions are taken for EHS at ASML.

Responsibilities

Safe guarding product safety in Global Manufacturing (e.g. ensuring clearance of materials, CMR release for Manufacturing, control regulatory related to product safey as high pressure)

Manages Product Safety for own sector. Is part of or leads project teams to improve and implement worldwide EHS product safety processes.

Key EHS processes (e.g. Incident Management, Compliance Management, JSA/Risk Management, Inspections/ Audits, Sustainability Reporting)

Manages existing EHS processes for own sector. Is part of or leads project teams to improve worldwide EHS processes.

Technical competence areas (e.g. Laser Safety, Electrical Safety, Radiation, Hazardous Materials, Ergonomics, Waste, Energy, CO2 emissions, Life Cycle Assessments)

Manages a EHS technical competence area(s) within ASML.
Develops and provides training framework for technical competences.
Has a strong internal and external network on a technical competence area(s).

EHS data analysis & improvements

Develops and leads EHS improvement programs for ASML, based on trend analyses of data.

Enhance EHS culture & communication

Leads improvement initiatives linked to the EHS culture within own sector.
Responsible for internal EHS communication within own sector and communication to other (internal and external) stakeholders.
