ASML (Oirschot, Netherlands)
ASML is an innovation leader in the semiconductor industry. We provide chipmakers with everything they need – hardware, software and services – to mass produce patterns on silicon through lithography.
In actuator design and development in D&E MM EUV Wafer Flow department provides cutting edge mechatronics solutions for ASML products. These include stages to transport and position wafers within the machine. For these, and other mechatronic applications, linear electromagnetic actuators are being used. This type of actuators are commonly used in our Lithography systems.
Due to the high throughput demands, high force density actuators are being applied and therefor actively cooled. Beside these performance requirements the reliability- and manufacturability demands are as important. To support this mix of unique technical requirements a dedicated Competence Lab is established, called the Actuator Lab, in Oirschot (ASML building 31). Here, proto types are build, tested and released. We actively develop and secure Actuator related competences to both support the next generation actuator demands as also securing the basic technical knowledge. The various specific technical topics are owned by our competence engineers.
The Competence-Test Lab technician executes and supports activities in the Actuator Lab related to Competence development, research projects, NPI projects and help-requests form the factory.

The Actuator Lab group, is part of D&E (Design and Engineering), and responsible for securing and developing Actuator competence with main focus on manufacturing process, test and Industrialization of Actuator Designs into the TF Motion Factory.
In your role as Competence-Test Lab Technician, you actively participate and execute day-to-day operations in competence, research and NPI projects. You are able to operate and maintain available tools, equipment and set-ups and provide technical hands-on support. You are solution driven and able to bring practical solutions to the table.
