The Center of Improvement (COI) is positioned to help the organization in all required aspects and bring, together with its partners, the necessary knowledge to improve the organization, people, processes, IT, data management, and analytics of COI's internal clients.
As our Process optimization manager, you act as a business partner to our finance management team. You will play a key role in diagnosing operational inefficiencies, translating them into actionable roadmaps, and ensuring successful implementation. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring that improvements are sustainable and that data integrity is maintained throughout all operational processes.
Role and Responsibilities
As Process optimization manager you identify, develop, and execute improvements within the finance organization. You are connected to one of our finance leaders in order to make processes more effective and efficient. Your responsibilities:
Identify Process Inefficiencies: Analyze current end to end business processes, workflows, and systems and define optimized, (c)LEAN(ed) processes to uncover inefficiencies and gaps.
Develop Improvement Roadmaps: Translate identified inefficiencies into clear, structured improvement roadmaps, aligned with business goals and operational priorities.
Execute Improvement Strategies: Lead and participate in the execution of improvement roadmaps, ensuring that changes are implemented effectively and within agreed timelines.
Data Lineage Management: Ensure that all process changes consider the impact on data flows and lineage, preserving data accuracy/agility/timeliness and consistency across systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders across Departments (e.g., IT, Operations, Finance) to align on process improvement objectives and drive engagement.
Monitor and Report Progress: Regularly track the implementation of roadmaps, assess the effectiveness of improvements, and report progress and findings to senior leadership.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous process improvement by consistently identifying new opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
Education and experience
Master's degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
Proven experience in business process analysis, improvement planning, project management and roadmap execution.
Strong understanding of IT, data flows and data management principles as well as the value add of Analytics techniques..
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive alignment on improvement initiatives.
Proficiency with process improvement tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

Starting from the actual products and services Finance is to deliver, COI considers primarily the ‘production processes’ Finance is to execute. Finance’s services include various reports and business insights, which are based upon data and information ultimately sourced from the business lines and sectors and transformed with the latest in (GEN AI) analytics.
The associated E2E processes consist of many data flows, processed today through different applications and data warehouses as well as end-user-computing tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. Parties in this process communicate through different means and use meetings as their primary alignment within the matrix/network organization that they are part of. All these aspects, which together contribute to the ‘assembly line’, can and need to be improved enabling ASML to scale out further.
